Food for Thought by Devin Knight
The performer shows a menu card from a restaurant listing various foods. Anyone is invited to come forth and secretly write the name of any food from the menu on a blank index card and drop it face down on a plate. NO FORCES OR RESTRICTIONS. Performer than secretly writes down his choice from the menu on another index card and drops it on another plate. Poker Tells by Devin Knight
One of the BIG hits of Devin's recent lecture tour. Instantly give any spectator psychic powers! This new effect is an improved version of Devin Knight's best-selling Blindsight. It has a new handling that will fool those who own Blindsight! Considered by many to be one of his most baffling effects to date. The performer states that some card players seem to have psychic abilities. These card players can correctly sense the cards in an opponent's hand. The performer says he would like to try an experiment to see if a participant has this ability to detect playing cards sight unseen. He shows four opaque envelopes and removes the four aces from a deck. The four aces are then placed inside the envelopes and mixed so the participant has no idea which envelope contains which ace. The envelopes are placed in a row in front of the participant. The participant is asked to guess which ace is in each envelope. The participant points to one envelope and tells the performer which ace he thinks is inside. The performer then writes the suit of that ace on the outside of the envelope. This is repeated until each envelope has a suit written on the outside of it. The performer fans out the four envelopes, allowing the participant to see the suits written on each envelope. The performer states that he only needs three envelopes for the first phase of the test. He tells the participant to remove one envelope and place it aside as his lucky card. Assume he placed aside the envelope with Hearts written on it. The performer opens each of the three remaining envelopes and shows that the participant has correctly guessed which ace was in each envelope. Ramos' Sympathetic Wands
The Sympathetic Wands use a fascinating variety effects that involve levitation, animation and Telekinesis. You show two regular soft-drink bottles made from glass and two normal wands. Everything rests on a nice looking tray. Place one of the wands into one of the soda bottles and touch the wand with the other wand. Move the wand in your hand up and down. The wand in the bottle moves up and down as if connected by magnets to the other wand. (No, there are no magnets involved!) Place one of the wands in one bottle and move the other wand in front of the other bottle up and down. It makes the same movements and moves up and down in the same way! Something unexpected follows: After one wand has been placed in one of the bottles, the other wand is placed in the second soft-drink-bottle: Now the first wand shoots upwards as if there was not enough space for it in the bottle! The wand now levitates free inside the bottle. When you push it down, the other wand starts to levitate in the other bottle! In the end, both wands levitate inside their bottles! At the end of this fascinating routine, you place one of the wands vertical on top of a bottle and concentrate while not making any move... the wand starts to rotate - first slowly and then faster!
