A Date With Destiny by Kenton Knepper

The spectator chooses a card and a position in the deck (100 % free choice). Aces & Silk Chambers by Keith Arlen Lack
Two clear tubes are shown which contain two colored silks-one red and one green. Each tube has a wood bottom as well as a wood ball top that fits down snugly into the tube and prevents the magician from easily getting to the silks. A spectator is asked to choose one of the tubes-let's say they choose the tube with the green silk. The green silk is removed and used to cover the tube containing the red silk. Alien Autopsy

Alien Invasion
The timing for this trick couldn't be better (thanks to the blockbuster hit movie Independence Day and the TV show the X-Files). The story revolves around a small town astronomer (a card is selected, say the King of Spades, from a blue deck to represent the astronomer), who spots an alien space ship (really a manila envelope with a picture of a spaceship on the front), which lands on the outskirts of town. The spaceship's door opens, and the aliens emerge. You show four cards with beautiful colorful pictures of aliens on both sides. One of the aliens is removed and heads to town (the deck) to investigate. The astronomer has set out to spy on the aliens. When he sneezes, they grab him (the blue backed King of Spades is added to the remaining three alien cards), and using some unknown alien technology, the aliens change their appearance and you show four blue backed Kings of Spades! The astronomer escapes, the alien who went to town returns, and the cards change back into four green aliens! The aliens climb back in their ship and blast off and the Earth is saved! Ali Gator
There are many possible uses for this clever device. Just One Of the Effects Possible: A mini deck (supplied), is shown and shuffled, then a card is selected and returned to the deck. While the spectator mixes the cards, the performer brings out a small paper bag, claiming he has a pet alligator inside. If this weren't outlandish enough, he also claims the alligator can do a card trick. He reaches inside the bag and slowly lifts out a chain, on the end of which is an alligator clip. The mixed deck is dribbled into the bag, then the Gator is lowered in. After only a second or two of sniffing, Gator is raised out of the bag with a card in it's mouth! Unfortunately, it's the wrong card! The performer asks the spectator to concentrate harder as he lowers Gator back into the bag. After only a short instant, Gator comes out of the bag again, this time with the correct card!

EFFECT: Commenting on "form and function" the performer draws attention to the precise curve of a plane's wing and how its form provides "lift". To demonstrate, a gentle curve is induced along the length of any playing card. Altered Stages by David Regal
An easy-to-do, offbeat card routine that never fails to impress. A card, selected from a blue-backed deck and signed across its face by a spectator is torn in half. Anagramation
The performer displays a stack of business cards which each have a magical logo and the phrase "For Astonishment..." on them. The spectator initials the top card of the stack and a playing card is also selected, but not yet revealed. The performer flips through the stack of cards and the printed letters move slowly at first, then begin careening all over the card, bouncing off the edges and each other. Bleeding Heart Trick by David Haversat
EFFECT: A magician removes a deck of cards from his pocket, along with a single playing card. The single card is placed face-down on the table as the prediction. A spectator selects a card (the six of hearts from the deck). Unable to see what card was chosen, the magician reveals that the card was a BLACK card. It is obvious that the performer was wrong with his first prediction. Looking surprised and bewildered, the magician tells the spectator to return the card face-down on the deck, which is held by the performer. "You see this deck is getting a little bit worn and does not cooperate sometimes. You were supposed to have selected a BLACK card! I think I have the solution to this problem." The performer reaches into his pocket, and removes a large hypodermic needle. The needle is plunged into the top of the deck, which has the selected card on top. Card Attack
A spectator selects a card, commits it to memory and returns it to the pack. From this point on the magician never even touches the deck-the spectator gives them a shuffle and places the deck back into the case. Card Dice
Show the audience six small cubes. Display each one separately to show that each cube has six sides, each one showing one segment of a playing card. The faces are all different. The cubes are now stack on top of each other forming two stacks of three dice each. Their faces are mixed up and do not yet show any particular card. The two stacks of dice are placed side by side and shown from all sides. Their faces are all completely mixed up. You now cover up the dice with a handkerchief. A spectator selects a card from the pack. Let's say the spectator pics the Jack of spades. Explain to the audience that, for some reason, the cards feel drawn towards each other and remove the handkerchief from the dice set-up. Unbelievably, all six cubes are now rearranged to form a complete image of the chosen card, i.e. the Jack of spaces. Tell the audience that you will once again repeat this experiment. Cover up the cubes again with the handkerchief. another spectator is asked to select a card, but this time, the card is not shown. "The cubes have once again rearranged themselves under cover of the handkerchief, thereby forming the value of the card you just chose", you say dramatically before removing the handkerchief. At this point, the expected applause does not come. now you merely look at the card formed by the two stacks of cubes. The image on their face does not resemble any particular card. All six face have a different index and the image is thus completely muddled. Of course, the spectators, at this point, rejoice about your failed attempt at finding the card. They will automatically assume that you have made a mistake. The audience's attitude does not seem to affect you. You then ask the spectator to look at his card and to now show it to everyone. He will realize together with everyone else, to their great surprise, that his selection matches exactly the image on the dice set-up both are identical. Card Sword
The Card Sword is one of the most dramatic and effective stage items you can perform with a pack of cards. The performer displays a pack of cards. Three cards are selected by members of the audience, and shuffled back into the pack. The pack is held by a spectator. Performer displays a large sword. Spectator is asked to toss the cards at the sword. As the cards cascade down, the performer plunges the sword into the shower of cards. The audience see three cards impaled on the sword. And needless to say these are the same cards selected by the audience. The Card Sword we supply is designed after the classic prop, some 34" long, and 4" x 3" at the hilt. Card Through Card
One playing card visibly penetrates another. A selected card is signed on the face, turned face-down and placed on the table. Card Thru Bolt
The performer shows the audience a fully examinable set of three cards that are held together tightly by a nut and bolt. A spectator is asked to disassemble the set and examine it. The magician then takes the set back and reassembles it. He takes out two rubber bands to hold the top and bottom card in place. He then asks the spectator to pull the middle card out from in between them, even though it appears to be held in place tightly by the nut and bolt. Card Through Window Book by David Forrest
The CTW document is a 20 page manuscript describing in very fine detail how to construct the clever gimmicks which will allow you to perform the classic Card through Window effect using 'desktop technology' (scissors, tape, glue, etc.) and materials included with this booklet. Scraper (Card Through Window)
The magician removes a deck from its case and a spectator freely picks a card. He signs on the face as an evidence of what happens later. The magician holds the returned card and the empty card case and asks the audience to come by the window. The window is opened a little and the card case is held outside. Then the magician slowly pushes the spectator’s card against the inside of the window. After a while, he lets his hand off from the card to show that it is stuck on the window. To the amazed audience, the magician tells to look the card closer. The card is now stuck to the outside of the window! It has apparently gone through the window and stuck to the other side! The magician says he is going to check if it is the spectator’s card and is not switched, and then he scrapes the card with the card case. The audience sees the card visually slides into the case that is held outside. The card is kept in the case so the magician does not touch the card. The case is carried into the room and handed to the spectator. The magician could not switch the card, as he did not touch it at all. However, the spectator checks the card in the case and finds his signature on the face! Introduction "...Like many of the magicians such as D. Forest, I became fascinated with the CTW. Chaos 2 by Mark Elsdon
In 1992 Mark devised the original 'Chaos & Order' triumph routine, based on a self-shuffling deck idea that was shown to him by a Chinese magician when he was living out in Hong Kong. A little while later Michael Weber suggested the actual 'Chaos and Order' patter theme, which was incorporated immediately. For a decade Mark performed the routine to a great effect, in all kinds of working environments. Recently, several possible improvements occurred, including a way to increase the number of selections and make the selection process a lot cleaner. One thing led to another… This new version is a substantial improvement on the original and the assimilation of the "Chaos Machine" into the card case is, we think, the finishing touch. Effect Two spectators each select a card which they hold onto. The deck is cut in half and placed face-to-face.
